  1. The certificate of origin is basically like a birth certificate for the bike.  This is what you'll need to obtain a title.  A certificate of origin is issued for a brand new bike rather than a title because there is no owner to put on a title.


  2. A certificate of origin is to show who, where and when it was manufactured, a title is for registering a vehicle with the DMV.  A mini chopper is a toy and therefore does not need to be registered with the DMV.
