For a russian tortoise?? which bulb??

Question

Which bulb would be best ??? i will take him/her outside too to let her burrow and play and forage too

t-rex 100w (uvb/uva/heat lamp)

powersun 100w (uvb/uva/heat lamp)

solar glo 125w (uvb/uva/heat lamp)

he will be housed inside a wooden enclosure (25L X 22or23W X 14H)

powersun, my opinion. But they are all good. By the way you need a bigger tank, at least 50 gallons.

The tank needs to be at least 36 inches long and 18 inches wide that is the standard minimum for a russian than I would highly recommend the hagen Solar Glo 125W. They need a temperature gradient in the tank and need to be at 85 + degrees in order to maintain a healthy respiratory system and avoid getting pneumonia.

don't go above a 100w for an indoor enclosure, i have a repti glo bulb 10.0 this is plenty if you are going for a 100w one you need to fit it with a thermostat as they get really hot and can go above the recommended temp making the tortoise too hot, ideally it is better to have a heat lamp and a good UV lamp that does not get too hot, they do kick out a lot of heat so you have to be careful, best of luck with your tortoise honey

I would get the 100w T-Rex. You don't want it too hot in there.
