  1. A good trolling motor, but it will be more like $500 for the motor, battery and charger. Or, look on ebay for a used unit and gamble.

  2. So what do you plan to do with it and where?  Fishing in a little pond you can get by with a paddle or oars.  Big water or a stream with current, get a motor electric or gas.

Get a trolling motor and a good deep cycle battery.  You'll also need a charger and I don't think you'll do all that with a 100 bucks.  In Florida, you'll also need to register the boat no matter what engine you put on it.  Also, in Florida some lakes do not allow gas engines.

A trolling motor works well, certainly put it on the front, they pull better than they push.  And they work without tuneups or plugs or a multitude of other problems.  Just turn the switch on a trolling motor and if you charged the battery, it will go.

  3. Drop in an old 350 cubic inch Chevy engine you can pick up in a junkyard, LOL!!! Worked well in the old Chevy p'up those Cubans converted into a boat and tried to drive to Florida.

Depends on what you plan on doing with the boat. Trolling motors have a very short range and run on batteries. A tiny gas powered motor is the best bet. Probably have to find a used one or make one out of a gas powered weed wacker.

    Good Luck!
