I am a UK passport holder and am applying for a Canadian study permit. I have been told that all will be pretty straightforward, however, I need to justfiy my ties to the UK in my application. I have written that I have friends and family here, but what else can I write? They can't expect me to have a job or property here because I'm a student! Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

  1. Pretend that you were the consul. What would the applicant have to say or prove in order for you to believe that he/she will return to their country of origin after their studies? Hint: Will the course that they will take afford them a job back in their country or are they likely to stay in Canada because they will have better chances of finding a job?**
