For adoptees who are reunited, who was most or least supportive of your reunion?

Did you find unexpected support or resistance from any members of your adoptive family? Did friends for coworkers help or hinder?

Least supportive was my adoptive mom- who told my siblings, one adopted, two not- that I initiated a reunion with my birthpeople so that I could hurt her.  Most supportive were friends who knew for years that I had to know who I was and where I came from- the entire experience was an emotional minefield.  I'm not sorry I did it- but I wish I had been  better prepared...
