For all Illinois people? License help?

I am going to be 18 in like 2 months.....I had a driver's permit but it expired this month. My question is, do I need to have a non-expired permit if I were to be 18 and go to the driver's place to get my license? When I turn 18, can I still get a permit?

You can get a permit at any age (16 or over). Don't drive until you get it renewed or get your license.
