All my life I have seemed to struggle with people being so judgemental. I have always been an open minded person and never been able to understand why some people judge others.

After reading many answer's to questions on this site it has brought it to my attention more than ever that even when people are asking for help others can not help themselves but give a judgemental response.

So my question is, for all you out there that like to judge others. Why is it that you do it, and what benefit do u get out of it?

  1. I DONT  JUDGE  PPL  BUT PPL JUDGE ME

  2. I think that people judge because we havn't learned enough how not to judge others. We learn and are encouraged to express our opinions and to be truthful about how you feel about things at school and once you are thrown in the real world, you start to wonder why people keep making eyes over nothing.

How can you tell you are not judgmental at all? I'm an easy person who isn't too serious about judgment people make, but that's my opinion about myself, some might disagree and find me judgmental to some degree.

i think it's really unnecessary wasting your energy by getting upset by all those 'judgmental ppl' you disapprove. Why just walk away and remain a winner among the flock of scatterbrains?

  3. Everyone is unique in its own way and the way each individual analyzes things through differ in levels. So when the words they say doesn't make you happy, leave it like that. Anyway, as long as you know who you are, what you are and your goals in life, negative comments are nothing but a bunch of jokers trying to mislead you. But there are also criticisms that need to be accepted as part of the enlightenment. Use the ears more than the mouth in those situations.

  4. I'm not sure people will flock in here to tell you why they do something wrong: it's not in our nature. The hardest thing is to admit to ourselves we're wrong, isn't it?

I understand what you're trying to say and I think no one is immune to passing judgments. We all do it one way or the other. Because our nature is egocentric and it's the only way we can form opinions and make decisions: based on personal experience and inclinations. We are who we are because of the many factors that came together in shaping our personalities. It's to be expected that we want to defend this set of values we carry deeply inset in our minds&hearts. Somewhere along this road, we start to judge others who are taking other roads and other turnings. I don't know exactly why, but I guess because we like to be right more than somebody else.

Like yourself, I like to think of myself as of an open minded person, and I must say I've learnt not to mind when others are judgmental. You cannot change it but you can fight it or ignore it. I've also learnt that there isn't that much time to fight all the judgmental people around, so I'd rather ignore them.

I think that is also part of being open minded - accepting that there are others who are not and who haven't, for various reasons, developed their mediocre minds. C'est la vie!

  5. I think that people who judge other people are unsure about themselves, if you are sure about yourself why would you go around and jugde people.

Just an example: Why do you think that priest are always judging? Becouse is very easy to be unsure about the existence of god, so to fell more steady they judge other people
