I told my kids the other day that McDonald's had restaurants all around the world and they ask if they serve Chinese food in China, and I said I do not think so it might be a little more their traditional food, but that is was similar to ours because McDonald's is an American restaurant. My question is, what is McDonald's food like where you live?

  1. I am Australian, and here, McDonalds have all the burgers, Fillet O fish, cheeseburger, Big Mac, McChicken and so forth, nuggets, chips, salads and then the deserts like sundaes. I'm not sure if that is what you have there, as thats all I've ever associated McDonalds food as being.

  2. I'm in Canada, and it's burgers and fries... and it tastes d**n good.. but it's not good for u...lol..

  3. It's more or less the same menu, but it doesn't taste exactly the same.  I've been to some in Europe and the burgers tasted like they used slightly different seasoning and definitely different oil for the fries.  But they were still very good.  I'm used to the ones in the US, so I could definitely taste the difference.  The same goes for pop.  They have coke and pepsi and 7up etc. but they don't taste the same.

  4. The ones in Australia seem to have the normal range of burgers fries and drinks. I've been to Maccas in Hong Kong, Singapore and London and they all have pretty much the same menu as we have here in Australia.  They don't have stir frys or fried rice or white rice etc. in the Asian ones that I've been in.  Although, they're muuuuuch cheaper in Hong Kong than here.  :)

  5. We visit India often, and the McDonald's there have pretty much similar menu items. But, they taste VERY different. Fries might have a garlic or other flavor. The sandwich filling will taste more like Indian curry. The veggie burger might have some local vegetables in it.

And, going to McDonald's for lunch or having a birthday party there is considered a "big deal".  At least, used to be that till 2 years ago.

Same things applies for Pizza chains like Pizza Hut and Domino's that open stores there. The sauces and toppings are Indian in nature and taste.
