  1. well you "non believers" don't help your cause any by saying things like "s***w the f**ing environment" "drill the h**l out of everything for more oil" and "stupid treehuggers, i'll drive my gas guzzling hummer on seal oil if i could"

  2. Doesn't bother me.  What bothers me is having to listen to them rattling on about it all the time.  If these people could just stop and listen to themselves for a moment, they'd realize how brain washed they are. It's sad really.  They're like members of a cult.  They are so sure they are right and you are wrong despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Besides, even if there is anything to this "humans are part of global climate change" nonsense, there isn't anything humans can do about it.  The evidince that our earth has gone through climate changes many times in the past, even way before humans had machines of any kind, is all around us.

I believe that our climate is changing.  It has always been changing for that matter.  It's just that with our more sophisticated equipment these days, we are better able to measure the changes so they seem more sudden and dramatic.  I however seriously doubt that humans are causing the change.  Even if we are accelerating it, it's pure hubris to think that we can stop the changes let alone reverse them.  All living things impact their environment.  Beavers build dams for example, which flood parts of a forest and turn it into a pond which changes the ecosystem of the area.  Who wants to catch the beavers and move them somewhere else to prevent that?  It's silly.

Unless we want to live in some sort of dictatorship where the government or a few decision makers tell us how to live every aspect of our lives, we need to nip this "change your life to save the planet" movement in the bud now.  The government has been using global warming as an excuse to regulate industry and businesses for a while now.  Next will be your home and mine.

Sure, there are things we all can do to produce less waste and pollute less, but since this is supposed to be a free country, it should be up to us the citizens to decide for ourselves to do it.  Government can do studies and come up with pursuasive arguments to encourage us to do it but I wish they would stop forcing us to with regulations.

  3. What bothers me the most is the money that is waisted on perpetuating the lie of Human caused global warming, and social engineering, when that money would be better spent cleaning up pollution.

  4. well you just can't incorrect coz nobody knows for sure......

  5. Yep. It bothers me.

    Boooo.

  6. I think we need to change the "3 conversation no-no's" to four.

Never discuss s*x, Politics, Religion or Climate Change.

And I can tell you why we have "global warming".  It's all the hot air from the pundits who are convinced they are right (and everyone else needs to be converted to the cause).  Oh... and the world's going to end on 21 December 2012.  LOL

  7. yes it bothers me allot and I want to protect the environment, its just that too much money is going to climate science and not going to actual preservation of wild life and animals

  8. Hey pegminer, how's that going? Think you made a good decision?

    (these are real questions)

    Edit:

"It's important to do things in life that make you happy, rather than just make money."

    I agree.

  9. Does it matter? What is wrong with keeping our planet clean and smog free? If global warming scares people into keeping my city clean, I'm ok with that.

  10. Here's a link to ALL the myths about global warming......

    http://greenhome.huddler.com/wiki/global...

  11. Yes it bothers me a lot. Global warming is a huge lie.

  12. i hate it when people do that! I mean they make up stupid lies about everything and try to make you believe in it!   D=<

If you don't believe, then do you listen to Rush?

  13. yeah global warming is bs

  14. Yes, it makes me mad that they just assume we hate the planet if we are either sceptical of what they say is proven science (Which it's not) or don't believe in it at all. Most people that don't believe actually don't believe in Anthropogenic (man-made) global warming. Since they have a good understanding of how this planet has gone through many climate changes even before humans existed.

To me this is about freedom and the fact that the ones that believe humans are causing the climate to change (watch out, since when they realize that we are in another cooling phase they'll try to tie it into Global Warming as well) are willing to give up their rights. I bet the same people cried about the "Patriot Act" and here they believe giving government more control of our lives is a good thing.

  15. I can't answer that, since I'm a believer, but it does bother me when anti-GW people imply that scientists are in it for the money. That is incredibly rude and insulting.  I, for one, decided to quit my full-time job to get a doctorate in Climate Science.  So far it's cost me about $170,000 in lost income.  How's that for profiting off of global warming?

Edit:  Actually, Bob, so far so good.  It's important to do things in life that make you happy, rather than just make money. It's been a very enjoyable two-and-a-half years. If I just wanted to make money there are lots more profitable areas than science. I could write science fiction, like Michael Crichton.

  16. No, I have always respected our natural environment because I worked in it for over 15 years.  I will not let others make me fill guilty for what they believe in.  For those who would try and make you feel guilty and make assumption they have a control freak mentality.  Usually stemming from insecurity therefore touting their vast credentials and intelligence.  Down playing common sense and ridiculing salt of the earth people.   Freedom for people is something they don't like because insecure people are afraid of freedom they want to control or be controlled.

  17. The only part that bothers me is to find out how many people are stupid enough to worship at the alter of Mother Earth!! Al Gore as the pope and and hundreds of thousands of jahadist environmentalists willing to do Father Gores bidding!

If you want another scary piece of info, google the research done that says how fat people are now of great problem in causing "climate change". Who next on their list to eliminate? Hum sounds like n**i's are alive and well just fighting for a "new" Hitler.

  18. acually there was an article a while back when people still belived in global cooling and it showed a graph trying to prove global cooling. at times in history when there was more co2 in the air, the weather was getting colder. there is no link to co2 and the earth getting warmer. i agree that the earth is getting warmer but it is purely cyclic. yea it does bother me and i acually wrote an essay on how fake global warming is and convinced a few people. democrates deny the existance of that article by the way. and for the record, there were 3 known ice ages that we know of and after each one, the earth got warmer and the ice melted so unless cave men drove around in cars that emite way too much co2 and had factories that poluted the earth, i think its fair to say that we arent responcible for the earths change in climate

  19. I agree with the one answerer. What possible harm does it cause to have at least 50% of the population making an effort to clean up our air ?

So don't buy into Al Gore. The book "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson was received the VERY same way back in 1955. It only took 20 years to realize she was right and because of this, the Bald Eagle made it's first comeback of many over the years, because of DDT, as were thousands of other domestic birds.

Anyway, don't care whether someone believes or not, because it's a natural cycle and nobody can stop it anyway.

  20. d**n scientist they are using this as a bussiness propaganda d**n d**n d**n !

  21. Yes, i believe all this global warming c**p is a way to get us entertained so we won't realize other important events that are occuring.

  22. I don't think they really think that, they just say it to change the argument into "you don't care" "yes I do" rather than the merits of the real question.  Ever notice how if you say there are problems with the proof, you will almost always hear that only people backed by oil companies do not believe?

A well-known environmentalist-scientist on the radio the other day said that we need to get to the kids and "teach" them, because older people will not believe.  Sounds like brainwashing to me.  The secular religion.

This willingness (desire) to use social engineering (PROPAGANDA) scares me more than the environmental problems, to be honest (and I have seen some pretty irresponsible and dangerous things in my long career, so am not naive about environmental problems).

  23. Bleh... Guess there are idiots on both sides...  I certainly hope that some of you "non-believers" still care about the planet, in spite of your views on global warming, and I *don't* just assume you don't care.  I don't know who you are talking about, but I guess there are some people who *do* assume you don't care about environmental issues.

Perhaps you should get mad at people who ask questions like this http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... for perpetuating that stereotype.
