How amazing is the magic of flight?

It is the best thing in the world! I'd rather be flying than doing anything else. Nothing is compared to it! If you want more proof, sit down with a pilot and ask him or her anything aviation related, you'll be talking  for hours.

I never got tired of the flying. In fact, I still like it today, some 32 years after I stopped doing it for a living. I always take a window seat when I can, and I always see stuff that others don't because I'm actually looking. But the old adage about hours of boredom and moments of terror is not far off....and, if you are a professional, the time away from the family is impossible.

it's absolutely amazing. Everyday, I have the oportunity to go up and see the world in a different light. However, there are days where it becomes just a job. All you have to do is go up and bring her to a hover at 4000' and look around. That's when the good ol' feeling returns and you remember why you do what you do!

Im not a pilot, im 13, but im working on it!

Although i have 30 minutes behind that yoke of the 172

It was the BEST 30 minutes of my life :)

It is challanging, beautiful, unique and has significantly changed my life (for better or worse remains to be seen).

If you are interested, go to your local airport and visit their flight school and ask them for a Discovery Flight.  It is about 30 mins long and I am hoping still $50 or less.

Once airborne, you will be allowed to fly the plane.

Its great, and I am very fortunate to be able to fly as a job. there are alot of others out there that don't have the privillage.

A few cons as with any other job, but it is great and I really enjoy it
