For all that play Tales of Symphonia- Question about Fake/Sword Dancer. Read On Please.?

I know where Fake is located but he is not there so I'm unable to get fafnir for my next devil's arm- can you please help me out. I saw him once in the ossa cave but I wanted to lvl up before I fought him and now I'm like lvl 50+ and he's not there anymore- do you know why?- I'm playing the gamecube version.

easy to answer

first of all, its called sword dancer, not fake (fake is a fake item box monster)

theres 3 versions of sword dancers: the 1st is in ossa trail, the 2nd in gaorachia forest and the 3rd is in iselia forest. ur lv50+, and u didnt kill the 1st one? well im sry to say that u cant fight/make him reappear anymore. the 1st sword dancer must be killed before u enter the tower of salvation for ur first time (from hima). since ur lv50+, i guess ur in tethe'alla lol. which means u cant fight sword dancer in ur current game anymore. but fighting it ot not doesnt rly matter. it just completes ur monster list and gives u the strongest Twin Blade for lloyd when u beat his 3rd form. if u want to fight him, restart ur game, or clear ur current game and restart. u shouldnt be scared of fighting the 1st sword dancer, i beat him when my lloyd was lv14. the 2nd requires something like lv35 (i beat the 2nd one at lv33) and the 3rd requires like lv45 (i beat the 3rd at lv47).

hmm just wanted to add how to get fafnir: get the evil eye, talk to abyssion in the snow city, get the key, and go to gaorachia forest. get the lamp thing on ur ring, and search through the forest (from the mizuho entrance, head north-east for like 10 seconds). ull see a bunch of leaves covering a horned box. use the lamp and the key to get ur fafnir

even tho u cant get the devil's arms, it isnt very important. collecting them is an optional quest. after getting them all, talk to abyysion, go to the temple of shadow, in the depth, ull see abysion turn into a monster, then fight him (i suggest lv75+, since hes pretty tough).
