Question:

For all the non global warming believers?

So, why do you not believe in global warming... are you scared that there actually is, and you are hiding behind some flimsy belief that has no real evidense just because you are scared and have gone into denial? Humans have been pumping millions of tons of carbon emmissions in to the earth's atmosphere for centuries each year. Where has all this gone? Don't you think that some how, we have doomed our selves because we don't think in to the future? Really, where has all of that pollution gone? I think global warming is happeing, and I am doing something about it. Are you? And don't give me nasty feed back, I want to know why you don't believe in global warming, where you think all the carbon emmissions have gone, and why they are never going to make the world warmer.

  1. Global warming is an opinion, nothing more.

No one can tell you if it's going to be warmer or colder 5 years from now any better than a coin flip.  People are just guessing, and guessing isn't science.

  2. i'm gonna die before anything serious happens. and if anything serious happens soon i'll probably be dead already.

  3. I am skeptical because I have seen no objective quantitative evidence that human activities have produced a measurable effect on natural climate cycles.

  4. I don't believe in global warming because I don't get my information on science from politicians.  Instead, I'll take it from scientists.  Like the 17,200 scientists that have signed the petition in my source line to say that they don't fall in line with the media and Al Gore on their claims of "global warming."

There are no RIGHT WING TALK RADIO hosts listed on this site.  There are no POLITICIANS listed on this site.  There are no RIGHT WING TALKING POINTS stated on this site.

It is all FACTS.  17,200 SCIENTISTS with FACTS! And those FACTS dispute the claims of global warming alarmists.

  5. We cant change the world overnight, So relax a bit .   We are just learning at this point, and it's going to take some time to get things changed to improve this matter. First we've got to convince the world of this, yes, doing our part will help, but if the rest of the world doesn't get involved then we will not be able to save the world. We'll get it figured out soon enough.

  6. Most of the global warming believers give us "evidense."

  7. Humm, Not in Denial.

    Mini-ice age. Explain that one.

As to answer your question truthfully. I do believe in "man-made" grobal warming. It is a political wash to get people worked up.

Forrest fires put millions of tons of CO2 into the atomsphere too. And guess what forrest fires have been burning even before man lived on this planet. Lightining causes CO2 missions and Methane too.

The earths atomsphere breaks down CO2.

Just remember in the 80's the world was saying a "new" ice age was imminent. Now it is gobal warming.

The "new" ice age scare got CFC's off the market. And today the global warming scare is used to jump start alternate fuels

  8. YYYYYUUPPP Lily K is right about global warming it is acutaly real some of u may not belive it but i doo.

  9. Non-believers of global warming are blind and in deep denial because they are not at all concern about it.  It won't matter to them because just as most of us alive, none of us can visualize the end.

  10. Nonbelievers fall into a few categories-

Those who parrot right wing talking points which are based entirely on economics and not science. These people are interested in silencing and obscuring the science because of their economic fears, and if no money were involved they would probably have no trouble believing it.

Then there are people who are just science illiterate who think that one warmer than average day or season disproves the whole thing. They are often fundamentalist religionists who enjoy a life of blind faith in things they hope to be true.

Then there are ligitimate climate scientists who doubt the bulk of their colleagues. These people are fairly rare and becoming more rare with time.

Joe Blow public who gets his news from right wing talk radio receives a steady diet of misinformation and follows it blindly.

  11. This will help you understand the non believers:

"For decades, environmentalism has been the Left's best excuse for increasing government control over our actions in ways both large and small. It's for Mother Earth! It's for the children! It's for the whales! But until now, the doomsday-scenario environmental scares they've trumped up haven't been large enough to give the sinister prize they want most of all: total control of American politics, economic activity, and even individual behavior. With global warming, however, greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and that only global government can tackle such problems. National sovereignty? Democracy? Forget it: global warming has now brought the Left closer to global government, statism, and the eradication of individual rights than it has ever been before."

  12. How much CO2 were we producing during these past warming peaks...

  13. Old news with just a different twist.  What amazes me is that you think people can stop the hand of God by changing to "green".

  14. Dr Jello... what you say is quite strange!

It's far more than an opinion, there is plenty of scientific evidence which is only ignored by people in complete denial.

The fact that the planet has natural cycles of climate change, as stated above, is indeed true. But the argument (and truth) is that humans are simply accelerating this cycle.

It seems to me fanciful that people would claim that the rapid increase in the polar ice caps melting, has just 'happened' to coincide with the dramitic increase in carbon emissions worldwide.

However, I do have my doubts about how much we can actually do to reverse the process (realistically).

  15. Global climate change is a natural cycle - it happens on all of the planets. Humans probably have contributed to some climate change - but they have done nothing that the Earth wouldn't do on it's own.

Sorry, but I don't  believe that we caused it and that the government can fix it by taxing us....The fact that they had a conference in Bali (no ones heard of telecommunication?) and the travel to and from was equivalent to the emissions of 22000 cars in one year.....

  16. Non-believers are heretics. They should tied to a stake at the oceans edge, to await their drowning as the sea-level rises.

  17. There is global warming but not because of man. The earth goes threw cycles like any other thing does.

  18. all this hype about 'global warming' projects half truths as global disasters just waiting to happen. it is based on some odd observations supported by discrete measurements, the statistical significance of which cannot be established. theories are spun, for which empirical evidence has to be gathered. this is advertised for support, both financial and intellectual propaganda. powerful media support is provided, especially thro global tv shows. a lot of jargon is generated. political leadership is roped in.

why? i believe there is a lot of BIG, BIG BUSINESS involved. by creating a scare about carbon emissions, a market is being created for means to reduce them. new products and processes are being patented and trade marked. investments are sought and made. the business balloon has to be inflated. and the tycoons laugh all the way to the banks.

the hype is popular because all those who matter benefit from it. politicians who support it get good publicity, and probably financial backing. scientists who propound it get publicity and funds to carry on more 'research' that can be quite expensive. and global big business benefits, every time there is global demand for new products and processes.

but there is an element of half truth in the statements about basic universal carbon balance instability. this is cyclical and tends to be self corrective, but only in a very long run, at levels of equilibria that may be essentially different from those that are current. in the long run quite a few of us will all be dead. so, that is no consolation.

i therefore believe that there is a case for aesthetic and prophylactic action that all of us can take in our daily life. these are not expensive, and do not have to depend on new products and processes. well known and well tried commonsense in conservative use of natural resources, behaviour and consumption patterns that are not too exploitative of nature and other human beings' right to them, restoration of the role of the commons in access to natural blessings of relevance to all humans - these, i think, are what all of us can do, in order to make this world of ours a tolerable and reasonably pleasant place to be in.
