  1. It was one of the best races I have ever witnessed!  This horse is gr8, and he proved the #20 post wasn't going to STOP HIM! I sm now thinking...hmmmmmmm.  Big Brown as the next Triple Crown Winner!

  2. Not even close. His final time was 2:01.8, which was over 2 seconds slower than Secretariat's time in 1973. In addition, this year's field was extremely mediocre.

  3. He did perform well from the 20th post, but there's no way he's the best.  Secretariat is and probably always will be the best.

Big Brown's jockey beat the heck out of him, did you see that?  I don't think jockey Chris McCarron had to whip Secretariat to get him to win any of the Triple Crown races!  He may have shown him the whip, but he didn't wail on him like Desormeaux did on Big Brown.

Big Brown may win the Preakness, and/or all of the Triple Crown races, but he's no Secretariat.

  4. Secretariat was two seconds faster and went from last to first to win.  He also ran each quarter faster than the one before, so IMO that was the best Derby ever.

But yeah, winning from the 20 post and running wide most of the race was very impressive.

  5. Barring something catastrophic at the Belmont I cant imagine this beast getting beat.

The Preakness is a technicality.  I'd be surprised if they find 5 horses even willing to enter the race.
