For all those who abstain from having sexual intercourse how do you maintain?

Im waiting till Im married because I fear the judgement of God.  I'll take the ridicule because thats nothing compared to the wrath of almighty God.

Its pretty easy for me because I love God and I want to be righteous in his sight.

I dedicated myself according to Romans 12:1-2 to Christ Jesus.

Romans 12: 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The love I have for Jesus is greater than the power I have to lust.  God's grace is sufficient.  

It is just through avoiding temptations not allowing the mind to reflect on objects and thoughts that may lead to acting out later.  

2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Self Control is a Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Galations 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Whatever you place before your eyes and ears is what you eventually act on. View things that direct your thoughts right and listen to good things and you will slowly decrease thinking about s*x.

for me, its who you hang out with. your social life, and also self-control. if you know going to some party will most likely get steamy and u won't be able to resist yourself then don't go. u have to know your limitations and flaws. we are not all perfect but we should have enough control over our own bodies to be able to resist sexual desires.
