How did you start breaking? I am trying to learn but it is hard for me to teach myself. What did you do to get your start in breakdancing? Do you have any advice?

I am 14 and i have been doing since i was 12, you just have to love it, grasp it, and stay focused and you should do well. Just watch alot of videos and practice even though you might not seem like your improving but you will

your problems solved

it is a really big bboy website that a lot of other bboys/bgirls use. it has turtorials made by other bboys who use the site and ask questions there because other bboys will answer it. make an account and go on forums and go on beginner help.

my cousin got me into it. he did some cool moves and looked pretty cool. i suggest practicing with friends or relatives because it will motivate to get better than them, which will overall make you better.

don't get frustrated if you can'tl earn moves, it took me 1 month to learn turtle floats. and i think it will take a lot longer for crickets.

Cool-looking moves will be 1-12 months to learn depending on the person.

I started because at our school talent show this dude and his crew were bboying, and i wanted to do it too. I wanted to do something that not alot of people could do. It looked cool and flashy, and i thought that i would show of to people and act all cool and stuff. Thats why i started bboying. But now i just do it cause i love it. Well, kinda obsessed with it, sometimes staying up till 4am practising. I lay in bed thinking of new routines and combos and i cant sleep till i try it out.

The only thing that i would say you need to have is motivation. You WILL come across road blocks and get very very very frustrated. (Windmills). Just dont stress it and work on something else, you will get it eventually so don't worry.

**Also start looking around for people that bboyin your area, so you can session with them.
