  1. try take in pieces the get close to you do not go offensive till there is an opening

  2. When your dad gets a pawn to the end, Sneeze and accidently knock the pieces over, then better luck next game....

  3. Yes, you may have as many as 9 queens on one side.

It's also possible to have 10 rooks (or knights or bishops).

Not all at the same time of course :-)

You can't promote a pawn to a King and you must promote the pawn immediately.

  4. Hi,

A Pawn that reaches the other end of the board may be promoted to a Queen, Rook, Bishop or Knight.  You may like to have a look at my web page - link below?

    Yours sincerely,

  5. Yes, you don't have to capture a piece to promote a pawn to another piece when it reaches the other end of the board.

I'd love to see a game where someone gets their pawn to your side without you capturing one of their pieces though...

  6. yes.. at least i've been playing that way since ages ago :S

  7. lol

  8. Yes, you are allowed as many of any piece as you want, as long as you can get the pawns over there. Since you can't use the real piece yet, I suggest using a quarter or other small object. If nothing else, you may simply lay the pawn down on its side.

  9. Yes you can have more than one queen.

  10. What kind of help because I am a chess geniuses.

  11. You can have as many queens as you can get, but what I'm trying to figure out is how can someone get a pawn all the way down the board without you taking any of his pieces.  This seems almost impossible to me.
