  1. You have changed the subject.  Are you talking about global warming or are you talking about helping the environment?

You have to be honest about it.  I care as much about the environment as anyone here, but I think this global warming craze is a giant crock that will set environmentalism back.

Are you saying we have to make up this big fairy-tale to get people to switch to alternate fuels?  That's just silly.

  2. As long as it is a matter of personal choice and not forced by government mandates or taxes.

  3. right on

  4. I am a critic of global warming.  There is no direct evidence of global warming.  It's only something for Far Left bleeding heart liberals like you to harp about.  However, I'm all for reducing the use of fosil fuels.  Sooner or later Iran is going to cut off its oil exportation.  The U.S. needs to be prepared.

  5. I have no problem with that as long as it's not forced down my throat! I don't want to pay more taxes to support it. I don't want Al Gore making a substantial income from fear mongering.

Ethanol costs more to make than gas. The only thing keeping that technology afloat is government subsidies (i.e. my taxes).

Eventually we will have to find alternate fuels. However we have a long time before fossil fuels run out.

  6. There would be absolutely no downside to it... at best, we have about 50 years of the stuff left, and the last 20 years worth are going to get very hard to extract, meaning the stuff will become expensive (3 dollars a gallon will sound like a bargain!)

Eventually, we'll have to go there anyways, and it's going to take a lot of R&D work to get there.

  7. I think that they thought fossil fuels were cleaner than coal back in the day.
