in your opinion, what is the prettiest type of stitch?

Depends.

I like the Irish Moss stitch myself, I find it a little more interesting than the usual seed stitch:

Rows 1 and 2: *k1 p1*

Row 3 and 4: *p1 k1*

Of course this hardly qualifies as "pretty".  But I like it in a "men's sweater" kind of way.

I accidentally came up with a rather interesting cable design.  I meant to do a two stitch wide "twisted rope" type of pattern.  I brought my cable needle to the front for the first two crossovers but then accidentally took the cable needle to the back the for the third.  Once I noticed my mistake, I just continued on with that pattern: front, front, back, back, front, front, back, back....

But what this has to do with Gambling, I don't know.
