Well, Biden does completment the lack of experience that Obama has.  The problem that may arise in the future is that Biden is from a strong Democratic state, and not the swing state that Obama needed to win the election.  Also, Biden has been in two elections, in which he was unable to garner enough support to even make it into the February Debates in 2004, and even continue his campaign beyond Iowa in 2008.  

Obama's ride just got a little more uphill with Biden on the ticket.  To win this election now, he has to garner Biden some more support outside of Delaware.
