  1. well the population of out town is a little over 9,000 so we dont cut anyone cuz we dont have very many girls, but we do have "testing" which is basically tryouts.

    GOOD LUCK!

  2. depends on how popular volleyball is in you area. at my school, 30 people got cut, at my friends, over 70 got cut. it all really depends.

  3. as a freshman it isn't too hard to make the team, cause the coaches want to see how much you can improve in 1 year. not many seniors usally get cut because they've been playing for a while. so it's usally sophmores and juniors. tryouts at my school were very hard! our school is really good at sports all around. tryouts went for a week and we ran lots of sprints, stairs, man-makers, miles, and worked on a lot of technique. volleyball is an amazing sport, and once you make it through tryouts it's COMPLETELY worth it!

  4. HA!

only 8 people tried out in my school so we all made it.

which was bad because we were horrendous on court. we won zero games!

  5. Not really. It was clear who was good and who wasn't.

Also, a lot of girls at my school play club volleyball also so we usally have the same people making the teams every year.

  6. mine weren't that hard... i think really only one or two people got cut... and the people that stayed weren't that good. if your worried about it... try out anyway! it's fun.

  7. At my school only 10 girls or so tried out. The guys didn't even have enough people that tried out so they didn't have a team. It was easy to make the team. I've never played before this year. It really depends on whether you have either experience in the game or athletic ability. also personality. Just do ur best and you'll probably make the team. If not, play another sport or try again next year.

  8. mine are easy, everyone is short and sucks, but there is nothing wrong with being short!

  9. we dont have tryouts

  10. no. the people who came made the volleyball team.(there was only ten of us)

  11. well when i was in school they were, but we were highly competitive and always made it to regional finals or the state final four... the team i coach for now, is hard for varsity but not for jv because we are hoping to find some kids  that dont look great at first but learn quickly and are athletic. if you try your hardest and have a great attitude it makes you are to cut for jv.

  12. NOOOOO little exsperiance needed

  13. not really, its not all in your skill, its also in how bad you want it,attitude, and a lil skill. bein on a team is not bout winning. its about learning. winning is just the outcome of learning

  14. it really depends on your team's record.

say your school is the state champ, then tryouts will be tougher because your coach(es) may want the better players. however, schools that are not on that level may only cut a few people.

my school's varsity team cuts around 10 people usually, but the jv team had cut a lot more people because there were just too many who tried out.
