i played a rugby match yesterday and my i knocked the side of my knee against another player, it realy hurts how do i get rid of this pain as i have a game tommorw

  1. Ice, 15 min on 15 min off. Try to rest it.

    Remember RICE:

    Rest

    ICE

    Compression

    Elevation

    If it doesn't feel right by game day get a doc's opinion before you play to make sure you won't do more damage by playing on it.


  2. You should probably get that checked out by a doctor. What you have probably done is hit a soft spot on the bone and caused it to react. This is normal, because the bones weren't meant to be knocked and bumped all the time. If it keeps nagging you, see someone professional, but all you might've done is bruised it causing it to hurt. Ice will help the pain, maybe massaging it to

  4. Like most minor injuries (which hopefully it is) you just need to rest it. Hopefully you put ice on it immediately after the game for 15mins as this would help immensely. If it's still sore and you can't run at full speed then don't play another game, you would be foolish and could make it worse which will sideline you in the future for far longer. Believe me, I dislocated both my shoulders and carried on playing week in week out, now I am confined to touch footy only because they won't heal 100% (even after surgery) - not good! If the problem persists, see your doctor who is likely to send you to a specialist or physio.

  6. Well if youplaying two games in three days you must be in England or playing touch rugby so either way relax pour yourself a double on the rocks and hit the sack.
