For americans who have BEEN to ireland?

Are they nice people(in general)? As in would they accept you if you moved there?

and I know they're not all drunks..sterotype.

  1. The Irish are a delightful people. You would probably find that them accepting. The economy is booming there and when times are good, folks are more accepting of immigrants.

  2. No, we're all horrible.  Asking a question like that is the same as asking if all Americans are like the people on Jerry Springer and will they all beat me up.

    We are the same as people in any other country.  We are lovely if you are nice to us.  

    You are more than welcome to come.  It's a beautiful country.  Make sure to travel around and not just to the cities.

  3. My husband is Irish and lives here in Belgium(Europe).

    Yes, they would  accept you after a very long time overthere.

  4. The Irish I met there were very friendly and down to earth. Many enjoy a good laugh sometimes at your expense (in a non-threatening way) If you are willing to laugh at yourself sometimes, you should do fine.
