For an October trip would you recommend; Playa del Carmen, Cozumel or Cancun?

We are looking for romance. rest and relaxation.

All of those places have the potential to provide exactly what you are looking for in your vacation.  However, in October, I would eliminate Cozumel from the list, simply because it will be hurricane season.  It's VERY unlikely that that will affect your trip in the least and you will probably have perfect vacation weather, but in the rare event that a storm comes, it's somewhat better to be on the mainland as opposed to being on an island.  

If rest and relaxation means just lying in the sun being waited on, I'd choose an all-inclusive vacation in any resort from Cancun to Tulum (Dreams Tulum is fantastic, btw) and spend almost all your time at the resort.  If you want to be slightly more adventurous and have a broader experience, I'd choose Playa del Carmen (you will find fantastic insights into the area at www.playa.info) and choose some local tours to add to your trip.  

Regardless where you end up, this is a beautiful area with wonderful food, views, culture, and people.  Enjoy!

Any would be fine.  I particularly enjoy Playa Del Carmen the best.  It is on the mainland and just a 45 minute ferry ride from Cozumel.  Plus, Cancun and Tulum are just down the road too.  Playa would be centrally located to all the destinations you are choosing from so you may be able to visit each one. Also, Playa is a great start for tours and shopping.  There are many options from Playa del Carmen and many luxury beach resorts.  Check out http://www.dreams.com and http://www.secrets.com for some great romantic resorts in this Yucatan area.   Cozumel is very nice too. Of course it is an island so you are somewhat secluded.  There are great beaches available and many luxury hotels on the island as well as the open shopping center, ruins, golf courses, and up beat eateries.  However, the cruises dock daily in Cozumel which will add to the amount of people at the beach and taking tours. So you might want to consider this.  It may or may not be a factor to you.  This could make a great day trip or spend a few days here. Cozumel of course is known for its world famous scuba diving also. I however, would suggest Playa for you  because it is centrally located to everything and you can get around easily and there are amazing hotels there.  Cozumel would be a good second choice.  You can also look online for vacation rentals in Playa del Carmen if you are looking for something other than a resort.  Either option would be a nice vacation with romance, rest, and relaxation.  If you would like more info or need help planning the perfect getaway please email me or visit my website listed below.

Well all the places are wonderful and depends on what want to do, If want to visit ruins maybe Playa del Carmen be a great option, because are in the middle of ruins, you can take the tours and have a lot of fun.

If your plan is more Plastic haha Disco & Bars you have to stay in Cancun

I would suggest to arrive to Cancun in Plane of course.

Drive to Tulum, then go back to Playa del Carmen and

then go to Cancun for the last days to the clubs.

If you can fly directly to Cozumel, stay in Cozumel for 2 days, go to Playa in the Ferrie stay there for a day or 2 or try Tulum too.

If you are looking for romance, rest and relaxation you should deffinatly go to Cozumel!!! me and my hubby went there for our honeymoon. it is a small island, (not a party city) stay at Cozumel Palace Resort..all inclusive,  you wont have to lift a finger.. VERY good service! A+ and plus theres a snorkling reef right in the back of the hotel!! gorgeous. Have fun no matter what u choose.
