  1. Colleges like to see athletes

They will take an outstanding lineman with average snapping skills over a outstanding snapper with average lineman skills

    Work with the lineman.

  2. Definately stay with the linemen and get better at the skills you'll need to play that position.  Next year you can probably play starter if you improve and can challenge for a starting position.  I was a long snapper but I also played defensive and offensive line because I worked hard at it.  Don't just settle for playing every once in awhile as a long snapper but instead have a love of the game and strive to be better than you are.

  3. You should act like part of the team and practice with the linemen.  Seriously, you're in 10th grade and on the varsity team.  You have 3 years of football left in high school.  You should work towards becoming better so that you can play on offense and/or defense.  As a 10th grader on varsity, you have the opportunity to be a future team leader man.  I don't care what your specialty is, doing the least to get by makes you a loser.  Use your gifts and be part of the team.
