Ok..yesterday one guy drops in on me and my custom board gets broken in two. Don’t you guys know that just because you can pop up on a board you can’t surf like a girl? Or manure your board like one?? Profusely apologizing for the broken board does not make it better after wards.. I mean COMEON guys, we can see that you boys know how to surf, so why take off in front of us or paddle like a demon when we only need one more stroke to be taking the drop? Worse than that… what’s with the need to dominate? It's not funny

  1. I'm sorry that had to happen to you i hate that stuff it ruins out sport. i quit surfing a few years ago and got into bodyboarding and its the same for us alot of surfers think of us as little kids on cooler lids and try to cut us off drop in on us and start fights I've even been threatened with a knife its dumb i one was a stand up. but on a bodyboard i can take off deeper ride the pocket deeper and boost way higher than a surfer so whatever. anyways i hope that it doesn't happen to you again and for all the people who think your "locals" unless you got gills and fins just shut up.

  2. because they might be jelous because you are better then them even if you think they are hot

  3. Some people think the own a peak and even after you've let them have a wave they paddling back out to get into the prime position.... i guess some people are just selfish and want all the waves!  Where do you normally go surfing? If you know the area well theres always somewhere where a wave isn't crowed its normally the places that ain't crowed where all the sound surfers hang out! take it easy and keep up the surf

  4. I've been surfing for 27 years and have never understood why some surfers feel a certain spot is their personal location.  I've done some traveling and the locals are like that with anyone who do not know the area or are new to the sport.  Guess you could go back to a time when there were not many of us out there doing it, then there was a surfing explosion and sites began to get crowded and the number of waves per rider shrank.  Still not an excuse but it kind of explains it.

Most water sports are like that.  I find it in the world of wakeboarding also.  They don't know how to share the same riding area or do not want someone messing up their water.  Wakeboarding is now at the point surfing was when the sport really began to kick in gear.

I'm one of the few who enjoy seeing the look on ones face when they catch that first wave or get up the first time on a wakeboard or go wake to wake for the first time.  I wish you luck.  You might want to look for a less crowded spot and hone your skills, then go back and dominate them.
