live grenade dropped in your lap? Rumors are going around Lem survived but I don't see how this can realistically be explained even with the suspension of disbelief! we saw cops all around him and none of them reported any signs of life or movement.

5 feet instant death radius, 15 feet fatally wound capabilities.  So no it's impossible.  Grenades are powerful, powerful things.
