  1. It helps a little, but it hasn't cured it.

  2. what is that thing??

  3. No, it didn't cure it, I've been taking Lexapro for 5 years, and I also had to take Clonazepam to help me with my anxiety.

I still have episodes of of anxiety. I don't think these kind of pills are for a cure, it's to help you control the problem.

  4. Lexapro is a good SSRI that has helped numerous patients with any number of ailments including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and/or OCD.  It's not a cure, rather it's a way to mitigate the symptoms of the underlying condition.  It's really hard to say just how well it'll work in one individual's case, but I'm assuming that if your physician feels it's appropriate, it's likely a good idea.

    Best of luck.

  5. I was on it about 4 months.  Before taking it I was wound up too tight.  My stomach would be in knots for no reason.  My hands would sweat and my breathing would change.  Then lexapro came along.  What a difference that made.  It took about a week to kick in, and I felt cracked out the first couple days. But then there's a calm that comes over you and you can function normaly again. I became a better mother, wife and worker.
