For anyone who has a Nintendo Gamecube...?

Question

I just got a gamecube from a friend of my dads and it will work most of the time. But after a while it will stop and say can not read disc and i know its not the disc because this is the 3rd game i've tryed in it. So i didn't know if there is a disc head cleaner you can buy for it because a regular one does not fit or if anyone has another idea that does not cost a whole lot because u can buy one for $30. Thanks

there are laser cleaning kits from Nintendo, but if you don't want to buy it, you can very carefully take a Q tip and put some rubbing alcohol on it and  gently swap the laser lens. wait for it to dry and see it you don't get any errors. Don't put too much alcohol.

You can also try cleaning your discs to see if that makes any difference. Just take a clean cotton cloth (an old t shirt will do perfectly) and spray some windex on the cd and wipe from the inside of the disc to the outside, going in straight lines around the disc.

The lazer that reads the games is probably broke or very very dirty. If its broke your probably better off buying a new one
