For anyone who lives in Manhattan [NYC]??

What is there to do around the city thats cheap but FUN? =]

I live in NYC and I can tell you there are a million and one things to do either cheap or free! I do not know why people say there are not! I do them every week!

Monday night movies in the park- Bryant Park, bring a blanket and some food and watch a movie under the stars

Riverbank State Park- $2.00 to use two nice pools (one inside one out) plus roller skating rink, free kayaking, and so much more.

Go to the village and walk around! You will find some great cheap places to eat and so much to see! You will have a great time!

Station Island Ferry....ITS FREE!

South Street Seaport on the weekends always has free stuff going on!

Time Warner Center, go to the Samsung Center (its free and a ton of fun!)

Go to Time Square Dallas BBQ on a Friday or Sat. night. You will have a decent cheap dinner in a fun location.

The best advise I can give you is to NOT go to typical tourist areas (they always run more $) and be adventurous!

well there is nothing really that u can do in the city that is cheap * i live here* but what i find to b fun is just picnicing in central park buy food get a blanket and have a godo time also there are tons of stores at times sq and 34th st if u want to see a  movie it cost 11.75 to 12.00 dollars but yeah thats what i can think of for now but go to nyc.gov if u can and at the top of the page u will see visitors and click that it has a list of options to choose from and u might find something there to your liking well have fun and hope u enjoy my city!! =)

ps if u go to times sq u might see the naked cowboy in person =)

go to the movies. try south street seaport is really nice out there. and dining out. there are many cheap restaurant around the city.
