I would like to have home study on certificate on animal care... I had never done this before but I am wondering if it worth it having a home study? I have a young son and I have no one to babysit if I go to college, anyway, if you have home study, is it worth it? What are you studying?

  1. I took some home courses for a degree in psychology.  For me, it was much more difficult than going to class because I was able to delay my deadlines too much, and it was hard to get motivated.  I procrastinated a lot.  If you are motivated and are good at staying on top of things and taking initiative, it sounds like a good alternative for you based on your situation.  Good luck!

  2. I done the animal science/vet. asst. course.  I never tried to use it, but it helped me a great deal with my own pets and to help others with their pets.  I have the certificate but I don't know if the thing is actually legitamate.  You might try asking the vets in your state/county.  Good luck!

  3. Look into childcare at the community college near you. They may even offer it to students for their children at a discount.

I would think some component of the animal care home course would involve working hands on at a vet's office to get experience, but that is just a thought.
