  1. no

  2. this is strange. i'm not a chinese national. i'm a korean-chinese living in singapore. but i felt SO PROUD when watching the olypmics opening ceremony.

  3. I definitely felt very proud. I love China's rich history and culture and how it was displayed in the opening ceremony. I don't know why others don't feel any pride. No matter what your bias, it's obvious that the ceremony was a fantastic feat of artistry, creativity, and hard work. How can anyone not be in awe?

  4. BREATHES there the man with soul so dead,

    Who never to himself hath said,

      'This is my own, my native land!'

    Whose heart hath ne'er within him burn'd

    As home his footsteps he hath turn'd

      From wandering on a foreign strand?

    If such there breathe, go, mark him well;

    For him no Minstrel raptures swell;

    High though his titles, proud his name,

    Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;

    Despite those titles, power, and pelf,

    The wretch, concentred all in self,

    Living, shall forfeit fair renown,

    And, doubly dying, shall go down

    To the vile dust from whence he sprung,

    Unwept, unhonour'd, and unsung.

    My heart overflowed with joy and pride as I watched the Opening Ceremony - it is the Best Opener in the history of the Olympics but that was not the real reason why my tears rolled down. I am so happy for China, for all Chinese people in Mainland China and overseas Chinese everywhere in the world.

    I have Chinese blood (overseas-born) and have loved China for so long. My mind, heart and soul will always be Chinese and I support the Government of the People's Republic of China in all they do. I do not care about Western opinion or criticism (by government or people) on/about China.

    Those Chinese who are dead inside their hearts, without a soul, know not who they are, where they came from; I quote Sir Robert Scott to refer to these lost souls: "To the vile dust from whence he sprung,

    Unwept, unhonour'd, and unsung. "
