  2. Jupiter will move slowly across the sky from west to east, but occasionally moves the other way for a short time (this is retrograde motion)

    the north star barely moves, always being at ~40deg (depends on precise latitude) above the horizon and due north

    cirumpolar stars more around  ("orbit") the pole star and never rise of set.
