  1. If they are owned by different people, yes.  If they were owned by the same person, or just managed by the large corperation, I don't believe so...

    There are two Sonics in our town (of only about 14,000), each on the other side of town.  It's completely ridiculous because the new one, which is way nicer than the first one, isn't getting hardly any business.


  2. Absolutely!  Each chain wants to have better sales than the other.  All chains of all kinds of stores/restaurants compete to be the 'best' - not just beat other competitors but each other!

  3. Depends on how big the town is. I would say they probably aren't competitors; they are both trying to get business from the area in which they are located.
