Actually what is meant by talent ? how can i get it because my friend studies only before exams but gets very good results but i am studing from the beginig of the year still i am getting the same equvalent marks or some times lesser.

Talent / Skill

Talent is inherent.  I cannot be taught.  It comes in many levels, from minor to major to savant.

Skill is learned.  Given enough time and practice, most people can learn a skill.  Skill is often confused with talent , but they are not the same at all.

Talented people can learn accompanying skills and this will magnify their overall ability.

Skilled people can never achieve talent.

It always drives me nuts when people with skill profess to have a talent.  They don't.

Talent is the potential or factual ability to perform a skill better than most people.

If someone naturally can sing, it would be a talent.  If someone learns to sing, it's also a talent.  If someone can barely study but ace all their tests, that would be a talent of a sort.

Just because one doesn't have a talent in one area, doesn't mean they don't have a talent in another.

If you're not doing as well as others in school, don't fret.  Just try your hardest, but look for your own talent.

It's a talent to be born with natural test-taking abilities, but it's also a talent to be able to study for hours to achieve the same result as the first person. You can make your own talents.

The so called natural ability (talent) seems to be inborn.  Those who wish to achieve the same levels but struggle can at least improve there skills.

Your friend may be doing a few things that you are not aware of. Taking notes, listening carefully. etc.

My suggestion for improving your study skills.

Take a speed reading course. I am sure you can find the basics on the net. Next find or form a study group.
