If you have some of the problems mentioned above, or all of them combined (me). What do you do make up wise to make your face better? what type of concealers, foundations, powders work the best for you? I have not found a good foundation that might help with these problems. I am sick and tired of buying every brand out there and not getting results. I also have issues finding the right shade foundation, I always get them either too dark or way to light, Urrrggg! frustrating!

  1. dont use foundation for them but a cream..its actualy a anti age cream that lightens your skin..gets rid of scars in a couple weeks

revlon vitamin c absolutes daily radiance cream

  2. Put on a moisturizing acne medicine before putting on makeup (I like the netrogena hydrating acne stuff). Then put on a non oily foundation or a powder (I just use a powder, covergirl outlast/trublend is pretty good).

I found that with treating acne scars and large pores it is best to start at the source. Basically exfoliate, use masks, scrubs, and acne scar reducing and skin peeling creams (I like to use a toothbrush to scrub my nose. Hey. It works). Covering those problems with make up just doesn't work that well I've found and sometimes makes your skin look worse. Plus it's nice to have naturally nice skin and reduces the amount of time it takes to put on makeup.

  3. i have the exact same skin as you! haha okay well i use burt's bees orange facial cleaner because citrus is great for your skin. i use a toner and always a moisturizer, but a light one for oily skin. i use some maybelline pure concealer every once in a while and some maybelline mineral power concealer. i use loreal's bare naturale mineral makeup and  it helps me not to break out and such. i always use oil absorbing sheets for touch ups in the day i think mine is neutrogena. i would suggest not using anything cream or stick very often cause it can make you break out. if you have a red zit use a green tinted concealer because it will cancel it out and cover it with foundation. the trick to finding the right shade is get one dark foundation and one light one and you can mix them to find your shade, and it will also work when you are darker in the summer and paler in the winter. oh and i also use mederma for the scars and it helps a lot(:

good luck!(: i hope i helped some(:

  4. get Physicians formula concealer, i get the one with the green on one end and the tan on the other, the green is supposed to cover redness that comes from acne...i put the green on first, if i need extra coverage, i add a little of the tan on top and then i use neutrogena skin clearing oil-free makeup with blemish treatment...i put  this over the concealer, then apply blush ( i use cover girl but use whatever you'd like)  then i go over it all with Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder...the matte powder helps to soak up the oil and makes my skin look fresh longer (the shinnyness doesn't show up all day!  and the oil-free makeup works great too)...put this powder on your eyes too, even on your lashes...the powder adheres to your eyelashes  and then when you put your mascara on, your eyelashes look thicker!  I learned that trick in high school...  anyway, do your makeup how you'd like but i have found this to work best for me and  make my skin have a more even, natural, NON GREASY appearance!  Good luck!

oh and test a small bit of the foundation on your wrist while you're in the store...pick the one that looks the closest to your skin tone!

  5. i wouldn't overw ash your face only because it will make it worse..

Start using Mederma for scars every night......

  6. Ahhh. I had really horrible skin in junior high. It was Scarry/Oily/Pimply. So i started using proactiv and Bam! My skin was pimpless. But i still had the scars so i put vitamin E oil on it every night and now im a sophmore and my skin is scar free!Yay! But the oily skin problem will probably never completely  go away. So what i do is use Maybelline Shine Free pressed powder on my face and do touch ups at school everytime my face gets oily.

    Hope I Helped....=)

  7. kay, i have red cheeks, oily chin, dry forehead (what a c**p combo) and a few acne scars on my chin.

i use a tinted moisturizer, and some face powder over it.

    i've found that foundation makes my skin really oily D;

    kay, good luck!

  8. I have very oily skin and large pores.  I was also struggling with finding a good foundation that could keep the shine down but I haven't found one...but what I did find was oil absorbing sheets.  You can get the store brand kind or Clean and Clear.  They are amazing!!  They take all the oil off your face and you don't have to reapply your makeup because it won't smudge your makeup.  Now I don't have to rewash my face so much during the day.  I found that with using these it doesn't matter to me what kind of foundation I am wearing.  Just make sure it's oil free.  I also use Cover Girl TruBlend powder  It helps keep the shine down just a little.  Sorry that I wasn't able to answer all your questions.

  9. Avon Magix Face Perfector.

Colorless foundation that minimizes pore size.

You can wear this alone or with concealer/foundation.

If you go for concealer/foundation too, then use a concealer thats a shade or two lighter than the foundation.

To help with the oily skin and acne, Avon makes Clearskin.  It works like Proactive.  I'm 32 and Italian.  I've had oily skin and ance since I was 10.  I've been using the Clearskin and it's AWESOME!

  10. make sure you use a foundation that doesn't have mineral oil (which doesn't allow your skin to breathe) i also reccommend Arbonne's Personalizer. it is a green compact that you can put on under your foundation to keep your skin from getting oily, as well as keeping your makup on longer. you can also put it on over your makeup during the day to cut down on the shine. if you use it often, it will actually minimize your pours and help your skin ballance out and not produce as much oil.

i really reccommend all of Arbonne's products. they are formulated without mineral oils, animal products, waxes or chemical dies and fragrances. they're the best products out there for your skin.

  11. Dominica, it's very obvious that your skin care is sorely lacking and you pick at the breakouts you have - this has got to stop.  Start w/taking better care of your skin (seems to be oily) day and night and make sure the foundation is water based.  I like the products at aularale.com/7002.  Everything is for sensitive skin and they have a product to address every problem you have.  Also, you should have no problem matching your skin tone.  Otherwise, cut out the fried foods and eat more fruit and veggies, drink more water and take a good vitamin/mineral supplement.  You should see results pretty quickly.
