  1. I don't even need to know the particulars of the case to tell you with certainty that any success these people have is blind luck.

  2. It depends on what you mean by "success". If you mean solve the murder, than no. But that is not what ghost hunters or paranormal investigators do. Most paranormal investigators or ghost hunters attempt to document and record supernatural events. In this fashion, we have had some success. We have recorded threatening electronic voice phenomenon. We have witnessed doors slamming.

With hauntings, it is often associated with an attachment that prevents the person from moving on after their body is no longer operational. In some cases, this attachment is to a specific person, place, or thing. In other instances, especially violent crimes, it is an attachment or need for justice, vengence, or other strong emotional tie. In the situation of a cold case where the leads turn up dry and the murder unsolved, these emotions cannot find proper resolution. You may find a spirit that continually gains more negative or hostile energy and in such circumstances becomes more likely to manifest itself during an investigation.

Cold case sites though are usually not all that easy to find. Owners of such sites prefer not to talk about what occurred there and often sell the home. New owners do not always read the disclosure or abstract, or even care, when purchasing. In a short amount of time, knowledge of the crime happening there can disappear, leaving only those strange clawing sounds from the attic.

  3. I recently investigated a home where an unsolved murder had occured three weeks prior.    While I did pick up some evp clues, the murderer still hasn't been found.    I recorded a man's voice shouting "the clocks ticking"   and a woman crying "please get off me".

In this case I think I was just picking up residual energy from the murder but didn't actually get an intelligent communication.    I intend to keep trying.

additional:  Getting clues from an evp may not be admissable in court (as it should not be) but a lead for the police to follow up is a totally different story.   When someone has been murdered no stone should be left unturned until the killer is caught.   It is absurd to think any prosecutor would take someone to court on evp evidence only.

  5. Thank you for your interest.  The success I have is due to EVP.  Electronic Voice Phenomenon.  I have been able to go to a murder scene and get answers to the questions I ask on a digital recorder.  The information I am getting is very accurate.  Sometimes the name of a murderer is said.  Sometimes the victim does not know who killed them.  Just because you die, does not make you all seeing or all knowing.  On one case, a woman walked into a store that was being robbed.  The clerk was already dead and she was murdered too.  In EVPs, she does not know who killed her.  In another case, there is a man who was bludgeoned to death who does in fact name his killer.  The name mentioned is a huge suspect on the families list.  Some of the cases I have worked on are on this website.www.victimsofhomicide.blogspot.c... are all unsolved.  While I would love with all my heart to give more details on the some success mentioned, I can't because the cases are unsolved.  All I can tell you is they talk to you.  In a missing persons case, I took a picture that keeps developing.  There are images of purebred dogs developing in it as well as a man jogging.  There is also a horse in it.  Like I said, just because you die, does not mean you know everything.  Her estranged husband is the main suspect.  She has been missing for seven years, but with no body, no one can be charged.  So the big thing in her case is finding her.  I believe she is sending clues as to where she is.  Because she does not know where she is at, she is showing us what she sees.  The cases are far more complicated than this.  I am just giving you the basics.  In another missing persons case, a girl was abducted in 1979 at the age of 17.  That was long before Amber alerts and any real concern for kids.  The family had to look for her themselves, even taking shovels with them and digging where ever they would get a tip about her whereabouts.  In some EVP's that I did, she says her head is out.  You can see her.  While that is not much help, maybe she does not know where she is at.  She only says what she sees.  Please check out the website.  It does not mention me in the capacity of ghost hunter.  I am a volunteer with the organization.  A lot of people ask why I do what I do.  My answer is that these people are still out there.  They no longer have a voice to ask for help.  I can not ignore them.  Even if all the paranormal work I do never amounts to anything, they are still there.  Some one has to help them.  Since most people do not even believe in ghosts, who is going to listen to them?  Me.  You do not have to believe me.  That, however, does not change the fact that they are there.

    Also:

As an added note, I did not say the police are arresting any one because of an EVP. In fact I did not mention the police at all.  I said the name mentioned was a huge suspect on the families list.  Listen to what you read.

  6. Solving crimes is more of a psychic detectives thing. The idea has spawned quit a few shows in America.I like some of the Dramas. The "reality" shows leave me laughing at the silliness. All one need do,is a little homework. To find out very few actual law enforcement agencies buy into psychic detectives. Here's some information on it.Below is a link to some articles involving Australia.    http://www.google.com/cse?cx=00645098773...

Edit. There a real problem with this.Police can find the investigation bogged down with psychic clues.Another, people can find themselves falsly accused of a crime,by a ghost of all things.

  7. What this person seems to be saying is she has provided prosecutors and police with EVPs indicating the spirit of the victim has named the murderer.  Can you imagine being arrested and having an EVP presented as evidence against you?  That's what this amounts to.  I call BS.  No court in this country would even consider EVPs as evidence.  There is a reason for this.
