Rafa can't get the #1 spot even he will win the Rogers Cup.

Please, please, please gianfi, save your speech for the next week.

after the Rogers Cup

Fed: 6600 - 350 (last year) + 5 (this year) = 6255

Rafa: 5830 - 225 (last year) + 500 (if he win) = 6105

if i'm wrong, please tell me

Yes, Federer will stay number 1, but he lost in the second round, not the first (because he had a bye in the first round), so he gains 35 points, not 5.

Also, I thought they said that since the Rogers cup and Cincinnati tournaments were being held earlier than usual, the players would gain points now and lose what they were supposed to defend later?  So Federer will have 6635 and Nadal (if he wins) will have 6330 (yikes).

Edit: That's terrible!  I wish he would gain 35...anyway, so that means he will have 6605 I guess...
