yes..especially teens...and YA has lots of those.

some attention to weight and appearance is good. moderation is the key..

a healthy self respect...and minimalist approach.

Absolutely!  But even if you don't want to be, it's so hard to escape when image is everywhere.  Theoretically, I don't have a problem with my body - I'm very slim and there's nothing too hideous there.  I know that among women I'd be considered to have a good figure, since everywhere in the media, women are skinny and other girls seem to like that.  But much as I try to be happy with what I have, it doesn't help that men seem to want the exact opposite of what women want.  My boyfriend's mates always rave about girls with curvy figures and big chests, and have even commented on my lack of b***s at times, telling me that they'd be bigger if I put weight on.  Unfotunately, while I'd love to be bigger, curvier and softer, my body just doesn't work that way and all my junk food binges seem to go unnoticed.  So I constantly worry about looking like a little boy and being unattractive to men.  

Like I say, I try really hard not to care but when there seem to be particular ideals set up by society, but they both contradict eachother, it's literally impossible not to feel criticised all the time :(

Yes, and some people with money even go for liposuction.

Yes, very much. Girls can get all vain looking at the mirror all day just to check themselves. They take a lot of minutes planning their outfits that will give out the best out of them.

Since we want ourselves to be beautiful always, women spend all their money on ointments and surgeries like liposuction, noselife etc.
