  1. It depends on your boyfriends personality. Since I've been with my boyfriend [I'm a girl by the way, even though this question was towards guys] I've thrown him 3 birthdays and he's told me in all seriousness that they were the best birthdays he's ever had.

One birthday I bought him a gun [he loves guns and tactical things] and a few shirts that I knew he would like, and he would look good in. He also had been asking me to buy this stupid stuffed doll thing that was like a shock absorber doll from some Japanese car company or something. Well I surprised him with that by placing it in his bed, and not telling him it was there. I just kept saying that I just couldn't get him the doll. [BTW hes 18 so about the same age as your man]

Then one year I took him out to eat at Bugaboo [where they sing happy birthday to you and make you kiss the moose] I went in there in the morning while he was in class, and told them what I wanted to do. I brought this big picture frame with a collage of pictures of me and him in it, and I bought him a bunch of cards from Walmart [I can never find just one card, so I buy a bunch of funny ones] and I had the staff at Bugaboo put it on our table before we got there [I made reservations, if you go to a place that doesn't do reservations talk to the manager and they will deff work something out with you because the Olive Garden did that for me when I took my mom there for mother's day.] When I showed up with my man later for dinner, he was so surprised and loved it. After dinner I took him to the bowling ally [where I worked at the time] and I had a cake there waiting for him, and I told one of my fellow employees to shut down my lane at a certain time, and I would go up there and tell them something is wrong with my lane, and when I went up there I went on the loud speaker and wished my man a happy birthday, and brought him his cake.

This past year, since I didn't have much money so I redecorated the gazebo on my back porch and covered the ceiling in white sheets and bought a bunch of table clothes to cover all the lawn stuff that was in there and I cooked him a really really good rib roast [I got the recipe from Walmart, they have this rack there that has about 100 free recipes on it they're like recipe cards] and I made him a Mr Hanky cake from the show South Park. [It was really easy, I just baked two square cakes and cut out the shape of Mr Hanky, and put the two pieces together with brown frosting and drew out his face with frosting too.] I also melted chocolate on a sheet of wax paper, and put it in the fridge for a day, then broke the sheet of chocolate so it was kind of like shards of chocolate and put them in a martini glass for decoration and for desert. I also bought non alcoholic champagne and we had that in champagne glasses while we ate the roast. My boyfriend loves Ducati bikes so I looked around everywhere for anything Ducati. I found these little Ducati bike models that you put together yourself, there was like six different Ducati models so I bought them all becuase I didn't know which one he liked. I also bought him a Ducati shirt. But I made him something that he really liked. It was like these six square boxes that had pictures of Ducati's on them and I put plexi glass over the top of them and they looked so professional. [I went to Walmart and bought those square canvas' 10''x10'' [not the flat ones] and I painted them each a different color of the Italian flag [Ducati is an Italian bike] so that when you put them on your wall it looks like its an Italian flag and pictures of bikes. I found pictures of Ducati bikes online, and I put them on my camera SD card and printed them at walmart 8''x10''. I made them black and white so it didn't interfere with the flag's colors. Each picture was a different year Ducati. Oh yeah, and the first bike had these tires on it and they were my bf's favorite kind of tires; Perelli's so I thought that was cool. Anyways, I went to Home depo and bought big sheets of plexi glass [well I think it was plexi glass, you can see what home depo has] and I had my mom cut them with her glass cutter to be 10"x10" and I bought theses fancy gold screws and screwed the plexi glass to the canvas, with the picture of the Ducati glued under it. He really liked them and hung them on his wall in his bedroom.

These are just the things I've done, just to help you get some ideas of what you can do for your man's birthday. Go ahead and do exactly what I did if you want, or you can alter what I did to something you know your man would like. Either way, good luck =] I know how fun/stressful it is to find something for your man's birthday.

OH Yeah! I forgot to add a few things [I forgot which birthdays these go under] I bought him dog tags [hes into the whole military thing] that said "ASL & CVS 7RU3 L0V3 4 3V3R" [its our initials and a basic form of leet so that it wasn't easily read by anyone] on them, and the other tag [because there's two per chain] had the date we started dating on them. He really liked that idea, because since he got me a promise ring, I wanted him to have something too, something he could wear close to his heart [necklace hangs close to the heart] I also bought him a really nice stainless steel flask that had his last name engraved on it. He loved it so much, that he said even if we don't end up getting married hes going to make the flask a family heirloom in his family. I got those two things at "quickdogtags.com" and "thingsremembered.com"

I also painted him a picture of me and him from a picture of us. I made it all retro and different colors. [I'm good with a paint brush, so if you are too, it could be a good idea] I also did some in the bedroom birthday surprises but I didn't add that cause I don't know how far along you guys are or anything.

I'm sorry this is soooo long

  2. A classical-looking painting or portrait handmade from one of your most memorable photos is a good piece to give your friend on such an occasion, don’t you think? You can select a suitable photo and then send it to http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will create a wonderful portrait out of it.

They also do wonderful photo-printing on canvas in different designs. Please take a look at http://www.photo-print-on-canvas.com for more information.

  3. Yeah go with the rose lol. A rose is pretty nice to have especially a girl giving it to a guy? you dont' see that much lol.

  4. A Nice Gift Voucher would be nice,

  5. If it was a little gift from someone I cared about, (girlfriend), yeah I think I'd think it was nice & thoughtful.

You should know what your boyfriend likes :P for me it's videogames.. ipods... c**p like that.. but not everyone likes the same thing!

  6. i like the rose, but if you've been in the relationship for a while it needs a bit more, maybe a nice necklace or ring.... of course it depends how long you've been together. For me and my girlfriends 1 month (pretty early) she got me dog tags with our names and birthdays, i found it really touching. It's nice to have something physical. :D

  7. he be nineteen, so give him a wallet. rose? ridiculous. or perhaps a waist belt
