My birthday is coming up in September and I'm wanting my first tattoo. I'm really wanting to get something in honor of my husband. Married 12 years this is someone I truly love and respect. I was thinking of getting the Air Force wings with his name underneath it.I probably will get it on my lower leg. What do you out there think?

  1. i think you should get it on your shoulder or your arm maybe your chest but not on the lower leg

  2. That sounds nice but i think getting a name is like a jinx. Maybe you should try something like getting him to get one also and you guys could the same tattoo. I think it still symbolizes you 2 being together.

  3. I think it's a great idea. If you've been married 12 years, I'm sure you've had your ups and downs. Despite all of that you're still making things work.

I don't think getting a husband or boyfriend's name tattooed on you is a problem, or something that you'll for sure regret later.

I have my son's father's name tattooed on me, and I've had it for wow it'll be 6 years this year. I don't regret it one bit, he's someone who made a significant difference in my life - and reguardless where either of us are at in our lives, I still love him like family. I hope you get my point.

Anyways - great idea, the Air Force wings being something significant to him - find the right place for you (lower leg, on your back in the shoulder area, or maybe the center of your upper back) and go for it.

  4. 12 yrs and going strong?

    go for it.

you can always get your monogram instead of his name. since it's YOUR birthday.

if it was his bday and you wanted to do something for him, that would be another story. but it's your bday and it should be about you

and when ppl get their other half's name tattooed on themselves i always ask...

where is your name on him?

  5. Be careful. Every friend that I have that has gotten their significant other's initials or name tattooed on them has broken up with them shortly after.  I swear it's like a curse or something.
