  1. No, they don't.  Some states have an option under their homeschooling laws for the parent or tutor to hold a certification, but every state has options for parents without teaching degrees/certifications.

Each state has their own laws and regulations - some require that you file with the state and have annual testing or evaluation, and others don't require you to register at all.

  2. In the United States, no parent needs a teaching degree.  This is a good thing, since a teaching degree is nothing more than training in traffic control.

  3. It depends on the laws of the state you are home schooling in. Some states are pretty easy to home school like Texas and others like California have stricter regulations. To find out for your state go to www.hslda.org they give you all the laws you need to start home cshooling.

  4. No they do not.  Homeschooling is legal throughout the US and Canada.  Parents do not require a teaching degree (or any other degree).

Here is a link to the Homeschool Legal Defense ***.

It will provide you with a wealth of information.

  6. It probably depends where you live, but here you don't need anything!

  7. NO! im homeschooled and my mom works, i see my teacher and tutor they help me with anything i need help in, parents dont need to teach you, well at least not at at my home school

  8. The honest answer to that question is...It depends where you live.

Each State has different laws regarding homeschooling. Some States require more than others.

Here in Florida you do not need to have any type of degree to homeschool.

Check with the HSLDA as to the homeschool laws for your state. The website is www.hsdla.org......you will see a map of the USA, click on your state and then click on the link that says 'how to homeschool legally'.

  9. I am pretty sure they don't. They just have to register their children in the education system, so that their children can pass the exams.

  10. Not in the United States

  11. No, they need a Home Education card though.

  12. No because they are your parents not teachers. The thing is that your parents need to know a lot to teach you. They shouldn't say things that aren't true and that is not real.

I AM NOT HOME SCHOOLED I KNOW THIS CAUSE MY FRIEND IS.

  13. I don't think they have to have a degree, but they need to have a pretty good knowledge of what they are teaching.
