  1. The correct diaganle is when you rise when the leg to the wall is out the furthest.

Do your self a favor and ask riding questions in PETS>HORSES

  2. Look at the horse's foreleg on the side of the horse that is on the outside (closest to the rail if there is a rail, or on the outer part of the curve, if you are turning to the left then the right is on the outside). Your body should be rising out of the saddle as that leg is moving forward.

  3. If you ride in a fenced arena, you should rise the beat when your horses shoulder which is closer to the fence comes foward ( the outside shoulder). If you have lessons, it might be a good idea to ask if you could go on the lunge and shut your eyes to feel the difference, I found that really good when I started riding. Just remember you'll pick it up with practise =]

  4. When the shoulder to the outside of the ring goes up you rise. Just watch it/ check it. After a while it will be easy and you wont have to look

  5. I hate when you people post in the "Horse racing"

if their was a section for not paying attention then maybe post on there

  6. Ok... The outside of the horse is against the rail, the inside of your horse is towards the center of the arena. When your horse trots you need to rise when his outside leg goes forward. It will take time, but you'll get it!
