  1. If you pierce your cartilage, the hole will never go away. So don't sweat it.

  2. It really depends... I don't know for sure, but I know that they most certainly WILL close up under some circumstances.

I had an earring in for probably 6 months and I took it out and it closed up THAT DAY.

But then I have another one (Top left ear) that I've had for over a year and it doesn't close up at all, and it didn't even after 2 months. (I did them both myself, so that might have something to do with it... If they're done professionally there's a better chance that they won't get infected and that they won't heal as quickly.)

So I don't know. The one that closed always irritated me anyways, so it was like it was constantly trying to heal itself.

If it irritates you still, you might consider letting it close up... cause most likely it'll never feel normal.

If you want to keep it but you're afraid it'll close up, just make sure you're cleaning it daily to prevent infection. I take mine out for weeks at a time and it's never tried to close up, and I also take it out every night to sleep.

    Hope you figure it out.

  3. hmmm hard to say, some people will have fully healed by now others not, maybe an hour or two?
