So many people confuse lust with love. If you're in lust, it will fade, if you're in love it can last until the day you die. The primary difference between love and lust is, besides the obvious, there's enough that's positive in the relationship to make working at it something you really want to do. It takes work to make any kind of a relationship last.

i think love is a strong word and don't like it if someone just uses it.Love as in falling in love last forever! love as friends change very easily one wrong thing and that can change how you feel about that person you get me lol ive never been in love lol sorry so i don't really think i should be answering but this is just my onest abinion and i hope it helped you're question :) sorry bye xox

Love can last forever if people work on it. I have a history in my family of very long marriages.  My parents celebrated thier 65 this year my uncle and aunt their 55, My older brother his 27, my sister her 20 my cousins over 25 years and some over 20 years.  My husband died in 1988 and I had to divorce my second husband because of abuse but most of my family has spent their whole adult lives with the same person or with their second marriage it's lasted.

It really depends, if the person truely is right for you, then you will always be happy with them. Take it slow and easy, and just spend your time together and really show your love for them.

At times if it feels abit less then it may be stress and stuff, don't try all these new things just take it easy =)

It's possible for it to last forever..

Some people feel that they are falling out of love after a while because they get bored or whatever.

There are cultures where when they have arranged marriage, they don't start off in love, they make themselves fall in love, and then it lasts forever.

I think the best thing to do if it feels like love is coming to an end is to try and make yourself fall in love again like think of the good things, have fun together, act like you're in love, and it will come back, and then it can last forever.

So in conclusion, it can be forever.

I know not everyone will agree with on this but I think it only lasts a year and then starts to fade as time goes on.
