before the people who work in the government find a new fashion and disregard the driving thing as before leaving the people in confusion whether to go legal or not; either ways nobody cares

i doubt these rules will last long

  4. i am lebanese and i saw... NEVERR!!!!

  5. Actually...my estimation is that the current enforcement will last until around March 2009.

My logic being the following; with Ramadan coming up, drivers are more terrifying than ever!!

Then, after that (Oct, Nov)...they might forget a bit until December and the winter holidays begin....and should last through the snowy season (Feb - March)

    I'm being overly optimistic aren't I?!? ;p

  6. the poor people are the ones who get the punishment , like taxi and microbus drivers .. anyone with a couple "phone numbers" can get away with anything ..

  10. my grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand grand son may start to get speeding tickets in lebanon

  11. don't underestimate driving in Lebanon. it's the best driving school. People who can drive in Beirut have skills for life.

  12. I sometimes go for days driving in lebanon without passing through a traffic light and even when i see one I dont dare to stop at the red light. The roads have no lanes and when they do cars tend t go on the line instead of in between the lines. Police patrols are a rare thing too and there are no speed cams.

  13. You mean there are driving laws!!! I didn't know that...I'm in shock.

My advice to you is "when in Rome, do as the Romans do"...so you'd better drive like there's no law or else you will be left behind and I mean way behind in the traffic...u saw how I drive...lol
