For how long will I need to wear glasses?

I'm 18 and I've been wearing glasses since last August. For almost 1.5 months I was without them (lost one and broke another!) & to my surprise the power decreased in both my eyes! It is now -0.75 (LE- from -1.75) and -0.25 (RE- from -0.75). Will I need them in the future?

  1. That's interesting, but it's not advisable to get your hopes up. Though that prescription is pretty low so you might not need them for everything anyway.

  2. i dont mean to be rude but theres a reason he is the optometrist and ur the patient! if he says to wear glasses for 9 months u do that..

and you will probably end up wearing glasses the rest of ur life.

  3. Your prescription is really low and you are probably able to do almost anything without them at this point.  I think you would pass an eye test for a driver's license.  I would still suggest wearing glasses when driving at night even if you do pass the eye test.  I think that is the only time I would wear them if I had that prescription.

You may or may not need them in the future.  There is no way to really know.  I really hope that your vision continues to improve so they will no longer be needed.

  4. go to the Dr check Ur eyesight again and get Ur glasses repair

  5. Yes you need them in the future. However if you don't like to wear glasses , you can wear lenses. check with a good eye specialist , he would suggest a nice contact lense.  Sometimes the power decreases due to your food habits too, but then it would be temperory. If you stop wearing glasses the power will increase slowly , chances are there. So better take good advise from an Eye specialist.

  6. First thing in morning, fill your mouth with water as much as you can. Now splash cold water on your open eyes many times.

Eat green vegetables and Trifla capsules.

Massage both your hand thumbs regularly with oil, especially the top 1/3 part on the sides. 5 minutes twice daily.

Practice Anulom Vyom pranayam if you can.

You will be amazed with results.

  7. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables.Alternatively eat carrot, papaya & cucumber. You'l never need a glass.

  8. You may have to have vision correction forever. As you age your vision will change. It may get better... it may get worse. Many times it will gradually get better, then pass through the perfect point and degrade in the opposite direction, as mine have.
