For insurance purposes i need to know if a 2007 monte carlo is classified as a sports car?

Im a youthful driver in florida and this is a candidate for my first vehicle purchase. . .

  1. If it's the SS then it probably will be considered at least intermediate performance.  This is not as "bad" for you as a car classified as a sports car, but most companies will not write insurance for young drivers with a car classified as intermediate or sports.

  3. Why would it, there is not sport about  Monte Carlo.

  4. no-- it's not.  a camaro would be or maybe an "ss" monte if the company see's you in it .  when you're young, they use all the excuses. they are supposed to go by the numerical guide lines . they have some goofy guidlines that they follow for the sports cars, most stolen, most troubled vehicles and so on. it should be nothing more than a standard grade car.
