what did you do to help them fade? especially all the purple ones. This is my second pregnancy, and though I haven't used much cream throughout the past 9mths, I want to help them fade from here on out. I have them all around my hips, lower back, b*****s, belly, and tiny ones on the back of my knees. I guess this is also geared towards mums who gained alot during pregnancy. any home remedies, old wives' tales etc, would be strongly considered, thanks. :)

  1. I had a lot being pregnant with my son as well. He is now 3 months. I tan but they still show up purple.  I think they are fading a little bit but not much. They will never fully go away. I  bought some lotion from babies r us for mothers after giving birth. i use that twice a day. and when i shower i have some olay lotion with shea butter in it..it smells really good..its in a yellow bottle. try that! losing the weight also helps some too. but i still have 40lbs to lose. i gained 60. i dont think mine are going to go away! lol

  2. They have lotions that are made for stretch marks. I haven't tried any...but I have a lot of stretch marks that I would love to get rid of too!!

Here's a website that can help you pick out the right kind of lotion.

  3. I got the purple ones too...my 2nd pregnancy aswell...I never had time to do the whole cream and oil thing this time either...my baby is now 5 months and they are very pale pink now...even the BAD ones...I can tell they'll be white/clear soon...so I am not that bothered.

  4. i got so many i thought they would never fade. i used a lot of belly butter and vitamin E every morning and night and rubbed it in circles until it was almost dry. they are fading pretty well, its been 3 months good luck!

  5. extra virgin olive oil

just use a cotton ball or a cotton make up pad and put it on 1-2 times a day that helped mine fade

  6. I used to have purple, pink, deep stretch marks, I try all the lotion it does not work so don't waste your money. Now my stretch marks go away! It's fade by themselves. Trust me, It's not there anymore, It's take my stretch mark go fade a year,  But I only see a VERY little bit of stretch mark it will go away, I used to ask class birth, midwife, they mostly said lotion don't work they go fade by themselves.

  7. Arghhhh...d**n stretch marks!!! I just had my first baby 9 weeks ago and I swore I was not going to get any...I got to 31 weeks and they popped up..I have them on my hips and lower belly...luckinly they are not horrible..throughout my whole pregnancy I used bio oil and other lotions for stretch marks it did not do a thing! 9 weeks postpartum and they still look the same. I wish I had a miracle healer........I hate stretch marks...oh I miss the belly I will never have again!

  8. Heres what I did, and I can barely see my strech marks anymore. I used bio oil in the morning right after my shower, then at night when I wash my face I used palmers cocoa butter all over my body, it really helped it took me around a month to start seeing a difference but after 6 months of use, like I said its all just silvery lines now. It sure is expensive to buy the bio oil but its alot cheaper than getting laser surgery done .

  9. My stretchmarks are horrible. My son is almost 3 years old and they are still very noticable. They aren't quite purple anymore, more of a peachy tan. I didn't even gain much weight with my pregnancy. It's just genetics.
