  4. I honestly dont know - I am a pensioner dont drive/smoke/drink or bingo my comp is my luxury and way of keeping in touch with my family.  I suppose it will be soup etc and blankets round me in the evenings etc

  5. I am going to buy warmer clothes, and make good use of our duvets. My gas for hot water lasts ages, and I was hit by EDF not British Gas, so still not as much as them. But that is what I'll be doing. People did it before central heating and I'm sure we can manage again!!

  6. Start shopping at a low price supermarket and don't use the heating - we're planning on blankets and lots of clothing! - Oh and taking it in turns using our baby boy as a hot water bottle!!

  10. I will have to have the hot water on only in the evening instead of all day as I have been doing. Also will put heating on timer when it gets cold -maybe just have that on for less time in the evening.-it'll still cost loads tho' so will play it by ear.Plus use microwave rather than cooker. Its a nightmare really.Am only using car for work-I use my bike whenever I can
