For men.....Do men ever get the "urge" to have children ?

Women "nest", and are aware of their biological clock. But, do men ever feel the need to reproduce? (I'm not talking about the "urge" to have s*x.)

My husband told me when we started dating he wanted lots of kids, and he's settled on the number 8.  I don't know that we'll get that far though.

i think some men do. I am 30, and i wanted to have Kidd's by the age of 25 . but never did...  i hope some time soon. i don't want to be old when i have my Kidd's I want to play soccer with them u know. so the sooner the better i guess .

i am 52 years old.  i am starting to get it but am not in any hurry.

I first felt the urge when I was 10 and I was taking care of an 8 month old baby. I was, as they say, a natural.  I knew more about taking care of that baby than his own parents did. When I started dating, women asked me how many children I wanted to have and I'd say 6 or 7. Most of them fled when they heard my response. What's amazing is that 30 years later, they're the ones with 6 kids while I only have one.

The day my daughter was born still ranks as the best day of my life. I've made a few mistakes in the 22 years since, but basically, I really am a great father. It's not just me saying that. All my friends and family will back me up. While I still have the urge to have more, I'm totally satisfied with the one I have. She couldn't be a better person.  That's all a father can expect from a child.
